Dual Bale breaking System
29 Jun 2020
KME Ltd are delighted to introduce our latest bespoke agricultural dual bale breaking / rebaling system. The facility which has recently been installed in Denmark is our 2nd system in the country to enable production of top-quality forage and bedding to cater for their large equestrian market.
The dual bale breaking rebaling system was created by our team of expert design engineers specifically for our customer’s needs. It comprises of dual bale breakers at the start of the system to increase the throughput of product and allow for blending of different bale types of varying moisture contents. It can produce 160 small packs per hour, our systems are available in 100 – 180 packs per hour.
This new dual bale breaking plant utilises some of our most recent bale finishing automation enabling our customer to swap between strapped bales of hay or straw and effortlessly transfer to bagged production for haylage. The finish on the end bale depends on the product being processed but can be changed over easily by a single operator.
The facility comes complete with dust extraction technology which removes upwards of 95% of dust and mould spores from the hay and straw that passes through. This was essential for our customer who requires the best possible product. The delivery drum is unique to Ken Mills Engineering and is the best on the market for cleaning products destined for equestrian use.
This Danish machine is our first to be built with a removable stainless steel baling chamber which makes it easy to upgrade and add our form fill and seal technology at a later date if its required. We also teamed up with ABB to give full automation once the bale has been ejected. The ABB robot produces perfect pallet loads every time for transportation and delivery.
Our KME team enjoyed working on this project to deliver a facility which is different to others that we have manufactured and are in use around the world. Our machinery helps generate larger revenues for forage producers without compromising on quality. If you need a re-baling system for converting large bales into small bales, we offer the best machinery available on the market today.
